Raw Materials: 13 Aromatic plants, seeds and spices manually selected.

Alcohol: 22% vol.

Producer Notes: Original copper stills are used in the production process and the taste remains unique. Cold maceration for a minimum of four weeks allows the aromas and flavours of the botanicals to infuse in the base. Followed by a double distillation, after which the liqueur is filtered and stored in stainless steel vats for a few months prior to bottling. Produced by J. Carranca Redondo distillery since 1929. Originally produced in the 19th century as a medicinal aid for stomach pain.

Tasting Notes: Licor Beirao is extraordinarily smooth with delicate level of sweetness and rosemary, orange nose, aided by pleasing cinnamon, cardamom spice flavours and the delicateness of fennel. Pleasantly balanced, as it dances around on the tongue. Fabulous length as flavours open, alcohol is well assimilated delivering a clean finish. Outstanding and in a class of its own.

Serving: Licor Beirao is served on the rocks or with a slice of lemon, and there are many other cocktail options. Versatility of Licor Beirao lends itself to many sweet and savoury food recipes too.
