Producer Notes: This Colheita 2000 port is from the field blend of traditional Douro grape varieties. In the cellar, the grapes were crushed and taken to the traditional stone tank where they were foot trodden, twice a day, until fermentation was interrupted by the addition of brandy. This port was aged in 550L Portuguese oak barrels, with periodic cleaning. The 2000 Colheita Old Tawny Port was bottled in February 2019 with a bar-top cork.

Tasting Notes: Smooth and fresh, with aromatics to go with a tasty finish that is laced with caramel. There is unctuous texture, but the fruit on the finish. A ripe and big vintage. Overall, this is quite delicious.
