DOURO –QUINTA DA PACHECA PORTS

Quinta da Pacheca is a historic estate and  has been a producer of Douro DOC wines and Port Wine since in 1738. In 1903, D. José Freire de Serpa Pimentel purchased the property and began to modernize the vineyards  including building 8 granite tanks where red wines from Pacheca are still vinified.

In 1995 Quinta da Pacheca began its wine tourism, guided wine tours to the estate. In 2009, Quinta da Pacheca opened one of the finest hotels in Douro which is visited by around 100,000 people/year. Thus,  making Pacheca one of the top five most recognized Portuguese winery destinations.

Pacheca Ports are aged in seasoned oak casks. The prolonged time in barrel ensures that the ports take on soft almond and walnut aromas, losing the intense red colour of its youth but gaining immense delicacy, richness and profound intensity of flavour as it ages.
