Grape Variety: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz (Field blend of over 30 different grapes. Each less than 5% in blend).

Alcohol: 13% vol.

Producer Notes: This top cuvée comes from an 80-90 year old field blend vineyards at 300-350m on Schist. It has over 30 different varieties with the principal ones being Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Carvalha,Tinto Barca and Alicante Bouschet. Grapes were picked in early September and fermented with indigenous yeast only, in open cement tank with 60% whole cluster with long skin contact. The wine is aged for 21 months in 500L used French oak barrels where malolactic fermentation took place.

Tasting Notes: “Fresh and mineral-led, with layers of sapid plum, wild raspberry, scrubby rock rose resins, graphite, worn leather, and wax. Tannins are fine. The finish lingers with a dusting of pink peppercorns. Beautiful minerality and vibrancy . This wine is drinking well now, and will reward with cellar time.”
