Grape Variety: Field blend  of 30 varieties  from 80 year old vines 

Alcohol: 14.5%vol.

Producer Notes:  A field blend from 80 year old  small plot vine yards grown at  altitude  between 250m to 600 meter on  north east side of river at Vila Nova de Foz Côa . All field work is practically done by hand  without the use of herbicides or pesticides. The grapes are stomped in a small lagars, spontaneous fermentation for 30 days. It was aged for 15 months in used oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:  “Another super offering, this one is in blockbuster style with big fruit and plenty of power too. The very  expressive fruit has a slightly darker feel in this vintage, but it also is plenty delicious. Then, it adds the pure power yet is never really astringent. It is well constructed, as always. This may be the best yet, but put it away for a couple of years, at least. This should easily do 20 years, but probably more..”
